Soak your G7

Dark title slide with the Gluroo logo. Headline: "Soak your G7." Line: "A smoother start for every new Dexcom G7 sensor." Two sensor shapes: one with a green ring labelled "Reading", one with an orange ring labelled "Soaking".
Light slide. Eyebrow: "Why soak?" Headline: "New sensors need time to settle in." Line: "Inserting the tiny filament is a small poke under the skin. For the first few hours, readings can bounce around." An illustrative chart of dots: on the left, shaded orange and labelled as settling in, the dots scatter; on the right, labelled settled, they follow a smooth line. Footnote: illustrative, not real data; studies across CGM brands find the first day of wear is the least accurate.
Mint slide. Eyebrow: "The idea". Headline: "Insert early. Start later." Line: "Your old sensor keeps reading while the new one quietly settles in." Two cards: an old sensor with a green ring, "Old sensor: reading your numbers, still in the Dexcom G7 app"; a plus sign; a new sensor with an orange ring, "New sensor: soaking, on your body, not started yet".
Dark slide. Eyebrow: "The secret". Headline: "The 12-hour grace period makes room." Line: "After 10 or 15 days, a G7 keeps working for 12 more hours. That's your soaking window." A timeline running off both edges of the slide, with a soft vertical line labelled "Day 10 or 15". Top bar: "Sensor to day 10 or 15" comes in from the left and changes colour for the "12-hour grace period", ending at +12 hours. Bottom bar, "New sensor": an arrow labelled "Put on the new sensor about when the 12-hour grace period starts" (30–60 min warm-up) points to its start; a short grey warm-up, then a striped "Soaking" segment marked "Potentially jumpier readings", fading into solid green "Your next 10 or 15 days" running off to the right. A bracket from about +4 to +12 hours under the fade reads "Activate switchover to new sensor in this range". Footnote: "Activate and switch to the new sensor no later than when the old sensor's grace period ends."
Light slide. Eyebrow: "The workflow". Headline: "Four steps, every 10 or 15 days." Four numbered cards. 1, Day 10 or 15: Put on the new sensor. Scan the applicator in Gluroo; don't start it in the Dexcom G7 app yet. 2, Wait: Let it soak 4 to 12 hours; your old sensor keeps reading during its grace period. 3, Switch: Start it in the Dexcom G7 app; end the old sensor, then pair the new one with its 4-digit code. 4, Done: Tap "Log G7 starting this sensor"; Gluroo logs the switch; remove the old sensor.
Mint slide. Eyebrow: "Where Gluroo helps". Headline: "Put on and started are two different moments." Gluroo logs when you put a sensor on, and separately when you start it; your GluCrew sees the soak too; one tap when you switch. An illustrative Gluroo devices card: "G7 (still active)" with a full orange bar, started 7:30 AM Thu Oct 8, expires 7:30 AM + 12h Sun Oct 18; and "G7 (soaking 5.2h)" with a nearly empty bar, started 7:30 AM Sun Oct 18, and a green "Log G7 starting this sensor" button.
Dark slide. Eyebrow: "Omnipod 5 users". Headline: "Using an Omnipod 5? An extra step made easier." Line: "Your Omnipod 5 app needs the new sensor's serial number too. Gluroo saves it, with the 4-digit code, when you scan the applicator, and can read both out loud." An illustration of Gluroo's "Log G7 Sensor Start" screen as an Omnipod 5 user sees it: update the Dexcom G7 app by entering the 4 digit code (made-up code 4821, "Speak Device Code" button); update Omnipod 5 app to switch to the G7 sensor by entering the serial number (made-up serial number); a "Speak Code and Serial Number" button and an OK button. Small print: Omnipod and Omnipod 5 are trademarks of Insulet Corporation; Gluroo is not affiliated with Insulet.
Light slide. Eyebrow: "Good to know". Headline: "A few simple rules." Four tips: Talk with your care team first (soaking is a community practice, not part of the Dexcom G7 instructions). Stay inside the 12 hours (switch before the old sensor's grace period ends). Trust how you feel (if readings don't match your symptoms, check with a fingerstick). Using an Omnipod 5? Update both apps (the code goes in the Dexcom G7 app, the serial number in the Omnipod 5 app).
Green closing slide with the roo logo. Headline: "Smoother day ones, every 10 or 15 days." Line: "Try soaking your next G7 with Gluroo®." New G7 sensor a little bumpy on day one? Try soaking it: put it on early, start it later 🦘

Here's the routine:

1️⃣ Day 10 (or 15): put the new sensor on, and scan the applicator in Gluroo. Don't start it in the Dexcom G7 app yet.
2️⃣ Let it soak 4–12 hours. Your old sensor keeps reading during its 12-hour grace period.
3️⃣ In the Dexcom G7 app, end the old sensor and pair the new one with its 4-digit code.
4️⃣ In Gluroo, tap "Log G7 starting this sensor".

No gap in your numbers, and still a new sensor every 10 or 15 days. Gluroo keeps the pairing code from your scan, and your whole GluCrew can see the soak.

Using an Omnipod 5? Your Omnipod 5 app needs the new sensor's serial number too. Gluroo saves it from the same scan and can read the code and serial number out loud.
