We submitted a new version of Gluroo (1.5.163) to the App and Play stores. This is mostly a bugfix release with a couple of notable highlights:
- The digital dosing table’s right half (the corrections for high blood sugar) now honors your insulin dosing precision correctly, and now reports based on 70-79, 80-89, etc. ranges instead of 71-80, 81-90, etc. On the boundaries, this can result in you reading off a value that is up to your insulin dosing precision (e.g., 0.5u for ½ unit dosing) different from before. As always, remember that your ISF and CR must be provided by your physician and Gluroo is not for making dosing decisions, though it can prove valuable for training and verifying doses provided by an FDA-approved tool.
- Nutrition photo analysis experience is sometimes twice as far or faster and is otherwise improved a bit: after taking a photo, the image itself is now a bit smaller so you can interact with the nutrition information easier. You can tap on the photo to make it full screen and get a pan/zoom interface now.
- Android widgets update even better now, even after force-stopping the app (or having the app be killed by an aggressive power-monitoring system tool).
- Attempts at improved Gluroo Local Integration resilience for the OP5 integration on late-model Samsung Android phones.
- Some improvements to GGC, immediately addressed the React2Shell vulnerability in NextJS in Gluroo web app (same day as the initial report)
- Several locations that used to honor system font size changes no longer do: in particular, the messages in the GEL and the bottom tabs now only pay attention to your Gluroo Display setting for “Default” vs. “Large” fonts (added to this list on Dec 10)
