The standard version of Android only supports widgets on the Home Screen. Some Android brands, including Samsung, may have support for using home screen widgets on their Lock Screen. That may or may not work with the Gluroo Widget. Please write in to help@gluroo.com with any tips for making it work on your platform.
Widget not updating?
The primary reason the widget may not be updating is not getting push notifications which deliver new values to the widget. If the widget requires the Gluroo phone app to be opened in order to update to show the latest CGM values, that is likely your problem. You should try the below steps, starting from the top — stop once the problem is fixed (e.g., you probably shouldn’t have to uninstall and reinstall the Gluroo app):
- Confirm you have allowed Gluroo notification permission
- Confirm that you have not disabled notifications for the Primary user in Menu > Settings > Notifications & Alerts
- Confirm that the “Ongoing Status” notification channel is permitted for Gluroo (using the Phone notification settings for Gluroo).
- Consider signing out and signing back in to Gluroo to ensure your device is registered with Gluroo’s push notification server.
- Restart your phone.
- Uninstall and re-install the Gluroo app — note that your data is safe, but you will have to re-accept Notification permissions and reconfigure device-specific settings.
