Omnipod 5 + Libre in the UK: How to Use Gluroo and Show Your Glucose on a Phone Widget

(Guest contribution from Samuel — thank you!)

This guide will help you set up your Omnipod with Libre so your glucose readings appear on your phone’s Gluroo
app and home-screen widget.

What You Need First

  • An Omnipod account
  • A LibreView account
  • The LibreLinkUp app (installed on your phone)
  • The Gluroo app (installed on your phone)

Step 1: Link Omnipod to LibreView

  1. Open the Omnipod app and log in.
  2. Go to My Account > Account Linking.
  3. Scroll down and tap LibreView.
  4. Sign in with your LibreView account details.

Step 2: Connect Omnipod to LibreLinkUp

  1. While still in Account Linking, tap Manage LibreLinkUp.
  2. Tap Add Connection.
  3. Enter your own details (the same ones you use for LibreLinkUp).
  4. You’ll get an email from LibreLinkUp: If you’re new, sign up with the link. If you already have an account, accept the connection request
  5. At this point, your Omnipod is now connected to LibreLinkUp.

Step 3: Connect LibreLinkUp to Gluroo

  1. Open the Gluroo app.
  2. Go to Menu > Settings > CGM.
  3. Choose your Libre type.
  4. Enter your LibreLinkUp login details.
  5. Gluroo will start pulling your glucose data (this may take a few minutes).

Step 4: See Your Glucose on Gluroo

  1. Once connected, you’ll see your current reading:
  2. In the top bar of your phone (with your notifications).
  3. On your Gluroo home-screen widget (after you add it).

Step 5: Add the Gluroo Widget (Quick Glance Readings)

  1. Android: Long-press your home screen > Widgets > find Gluroo > place it.
  2. iPhone: Long-press home > tap + (top left) > search Gluroo > add.

Tips

  • If the widget looks empty, open Gluroo once, then go back to your home screen.
  • Make sure notifications and background activity are allowed for Gluroo (so it keeps updating).
  • Readings might sometimes take a few minutes to appear.
