If your Wear OS Watch showing CGM values provided by Gluroo is not updating as fast as the Gluroo mobile phone app is, here are some common problems to resolve the issue. These are listed from easiest/fastest to more time consuming.
After each attempt, you can try hitting “Refresh” on Menu > Settings > Watch next to the connected Wear OS watch. (This is faster than waiting for the next reading to come in.)
- PHONE-LATEST-VERSION: Check to make sure the Gluroo phone app is running the latest available version (look for updates in the Play store for Google)
- WATCH-LATEST-VERSION: Check to make sure the Gluroo Wear OS watch app (and watchfaces if you use one or both) are running the latest available version using Gluroo’s phone App: Menu > Settings > Watch and tap “Check for Updates” buttons.
- PHONE-WORKING: Make the the Gluroo Phone app itself has recent and up to date CGM values.
- WATCH-WiFi-CYCLED: Turn off WiFi on your watch (you may be able to turn it back on later — this forces a new connection mechanism to the phone).
- PHONE-WiFi-CYCLED: Turn off and back on WiFi on your phone.
- WATCH-BT-CYCLED: Turn off Bluetooth on your watch, and then turn it back on.
- PHONE-BT-CYCLED: Turn off Bluetooth on your phone, and then turn it back on.
- NOTIFICATIONS-CHECKED: Make sure you did not turn notifications off on the Android Phone system or the Gluroo app itself. Notifications are important for delivering new values to the Watch
- WATCH-SHOWS-CONNECTED: From the Gluroo Phone App, Menu > Settings > Watch: confirm that the intended watch shows as connected. (New October 16, 2025 — not applicable before then: Double check that you have Watch App Version 1.6.7 or later and Phone App 1.5.66 or later. Also double check that a number of Active Complications shows correctly and matches what you think.)
- WATCHFACE-SWAP: On your phone using the Galaxy Wear or Google Watch app (whatever app you use to configure your watch from your phone), switch to a different watchface, and then back to the Gluroo CGM Watchface.
- COMPLICATION-SWAP: On your phone using the Galaxy Wear or Google Watch app (whatever app you use to configure your watch from your phone), switch out the complication that’s not updating, and then switch it back or switch to a similar complication provided by Gluroo. Be sure you’re using Gluroo complications.
- RESTART-WATCH: Restart your watch
- RESTART-PHONE: Restart your Phone.
- REINSTALL-WATCH: From the Gluroo Phone App, Menu > Settings > Watch, visit the Gluroo Watch app on the play store on your watch and uninstall it; then reinstall it.
- REINSTALL-WATCHFACE: From the Gluroo Phone App, Menu > Settings > Watch, visit the Gluroo Watchface app on the play store on your watch and uninstall it; then reinstall it.
If none of this works, from Menu > Settings > Watch tap “Send Diagnostics” (requires Gluroo 1.5.66 or later and write in to help@gluroo.com from Menu > Help @email.
If something on the list above does work for you, we’d also love to hear about that — shoot us a quick email at help@gluroo.com and let us know which step (by name) worked and any other salient details.
