Gluroo 2.1.27 – Gestational Diabetes, Chart Settings & Better Clinician Support

We submitted a new version of Gluroo (2.1.27) to the App and Play stores and it will be rolling out soon. This version has the usual bunch of bug fixes and performance enhancements. In addition it has the following changes and new functionality:

  • Gestational Diabetes is a first-class supported onboarding flow now; we’re not done with all of the new features we’re building for GD, but we believe it’s already one of the better options available for managing GD.
Please ask people who are dealing with Gestational Diabetes to give Gluroo a try!
  • The Chart settings has been reworked entirely and is much more configurable and understandable.
  • The Chart now shows the Link-to-Log icon and affordance on the left side of the line readout (when long-press finger-scrubbing) instead of the right side – the “X” to close the Line readout is now on the left side.
  • Improvements to share to care team + easier onboarding for clinicians and faster availability of new patients in their dashboards.
  • The GluCrew switcher now lets you see Iob/Fob and BGL for all the GluCrews you’re a member of in real time – a mini patient-population dashboard.
  • Various usability enhancements through onboarding.
  • Improved CGM fetching when first connecting a CGM – backfetch 24 hours from Dexcom Follow, and 8 hours (15 min averages) from Libre sensors.
  • Onboarding has a new promo screen for FlashSnack for users that say one of their goals is estimating carbs or nutrition values.
  • The new user experience has improved a lot, especially the walkthrough of the features of the app.  You can try it by going to Menu > Settings > Troubleshooting & tap “Reset Tips”.
  • The sugar intervention snack forecasting feature now works for insulin boluses, too (after you confirm understanding the feature is for educational purposes only).
  • The Plus menu now animates/slides when opening/closing.
  • Block GGC/Nightscout uploads of treatments more than 1 week in the future.  A handful of users have wildly misconfigured uploaders that are sending bogus data.
  • Start assigning mealNames to Tandem- and OP5- added automatic meal entries from pump bolus calculators.
  • Work to make reminders (meal, basal, medicine, period, etc.) much more robust. Please start letting us know if you are missing a reminder that you think you should’ve gotten (write in to help@gluroo.com with your groupId)
  • much reduced backend error rate (down 90%) and improved performance of backend responses (down 30%)

Gluroo’s future – IMPORTANT

Gluroo is getting closer to a commercial release. We’ve been using a subscription model for our GotCGM cousin application and are considering a similar approach for Gluroo’s future.
