Time-In-Range (TIR)

TIR is the percentage of time spent within a target blood glucose range. It is a valuable metric for assessing overall glycemic control and the effectiveness of diabetes management strategies. Clinical standard ranges are:

  • Target Range: 70-180 mg/dL or 3.9-10.0 mmol/L
  • Very High: Above 250 mg/dL or 13.9 mmol/L
  • Very Low: Below 54 mg/dL or 3.0 mmol/L
