Gluroo not displaying on your Android Wear OS Watch after May 2025 update?

See View your CGM and Diabetes data on your Wear OS Google and Galaxy Watch with Gluroo

The prior Watchface is no longer allowed by Google Play, and Gluroo can no longer make updates to that app, so we retired it and no longer support it. The new Watchface now works with Wear OS 5 watches including the Samsung Galaxy 7 and Samsung Galaxy Ultra, still supports showing a real-time chart on the watchface, and the app supports new Tiles and interactive functionality.

Be sure to check back for updates on your watch’s Play store app for “Gluroo” and “Gluroo CGM Watchface.” We’re hoping to restore access to the app for some older watches with versions 1.5.14 which we just released on Saturday May 17th.

Also note that if your watchface is showing blood sugar in mg/dL (e.g., 123) instead of mM units (e.g., 7.6), there was a bug in the very first release of the new Gluroo Watch app that was fixed immediately. Be sure you’ve updated to version 1.5.12 or later of the Watch app.

If you’re using a OnePlus Watch, you can use Gluroo but the Gluroo CGM Watchface probably will not work due to extra controls OnePlus puts on their watches to improve battery life. See our Gluroo + OnePlus Watch notes.

Updating the Watch App and the Watchface App

The easiest way to do this is from the Gluroo phone app. Be sure you’re on the latest release and then go to Menu > Settings > Watch (the 3rd, rightmost tab) and tap the two buttons (they’ll read “Update” if they’re already installed):

Watchface only showing the time?

The Gluroo CGM watchface will only show the time on certain watches when privacy/hidden-content mode is on and the watch has not been unlocked yet. You can simply unlock the Watch to show the full watchface with the complication data.

If you prefer to show the potentially sensitive complication data (such as your BGL, IOB, etc. — whatever you’ve configured) even when your watch is locked, some watches may have a: Settings > Security & Privacy > Hide Information setting that you can turn off. Use at your own risk.
